Salves are an effective aid that use oil infused herbs known for their healing properties to promote healing of skin. Our salve is made in a reusable/recyclable metal tin that can be easily slipped into a purse, pocket or your first aid kit. The salve is semi-solid at room temperature and softens for absorption once applied to the skin. Beeswax is added for it’s protective, soothing, emollient, nourishing and healing benefits.
To make my salve, I use the solar method which takes several weeks for the salve to infuse into the oil. This method ensures the healing properties of the herbs are protected. Some others may heat theirs to infuse, which is quicker, but does risk damaging the herb healing properties. Salves should be stored in a cool location where they will remain semi-solid and will not continue to re-melt and re-solidify. If stored correctly, the salve will last for about 2 years.

For use on cuts, scratches & skin irritations. This salve contains plants known for their healing properties, solar infused into Organic Virgin Olive oil. For external use only.
- Comfrey Leaf – Comfrey leaves contain allantoin, calcium, and Vitamin C. Due to this, it is believed to help speed the healing of broken bones and sprains, as well as reduce the pain and swelling of bruising, inflammation, and arthritis. Comfrey anti-inflammatory and astringent properties, and may help heal wounds.
- Calendula – Known to help heal wounds, reduce inflammation, and is known to have antiseptic and astringent properties.
- Plantain Leaf – has healing properties that may help relieve the itching and pain associated with bug bites, stings, minor burns, and minor wounds.
- Rosemary – When infused into oil, it is believed that rosemary can help heal eczema, speed the healing of wounds, and help relieve arthritis pain
- Lavender – believed to have antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties which can be used to help heal minor burns and bug bites.

For use on bruised skin as Arnica is known to stimulate blood circulation and may help heal wounds. It is not recommended for use on broken skin, and may irritate sensitive skin. This salve contains plants known for their healing properties, solar infused into Organic Virgin Olive oil. For external use only.
Ingredients: organic Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, organic Beeswax, Arnica Montana Flower, Comfrey (Symphytum Officinale) Leaf extract, Hypericum perforatum (St. John’s Wort), Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower extract, Wintergreen oil, Tocopherols (Vitamin E).
Note: Arnica may cause an allergic reaction in people who are sensitive to the Asteraceae/Compositae family. Members of this family include ragweed, chrysanthemums, marigolds, daisies, and many others.
St. John’s Wort is well known for being an “anti-depressive herb”. However, Herbalists also use St. John’s Wort for bruises and sprains, and has been selected to compliment our Arnica based salve.
