Find our products in Lougheed Mall!

October was a very busy month for me. Some of you may know that I work full time as a Business Analyst, and A Little Soapy Business is my venture of passion and fun where I get to be creative and make all of my natural handmade goods. In late September, I received an invitation to have my products featured in a mall this year! All I could think is wow, exciting! And WOW, a that’s going to be a TON of work!!

Balance and organization is everything when juggling a full time job and a personal side business along with family, health, among other things.

Honey Body Wash Recipe

Lately I’ve been working on something pretty exciting! Not only am I making goodies to get ready for my summer event where locals can find me at the North Vancouver Canada Day craft show at Waterfront Park, but I’m also lucky enough to be collaborating along with others for a 30 day Beauty Detox Program! If that interests you, not only will this feature locally based wellness experts (to Vancouver), it will also be free! More on that in the next few days…

In the meantime… this collaboration inspired me to look making an easy soap based recipe. I’ve concocted a mosturising, good for your skin, Raw Honey Body Wash. Not only is this simple to make, but you can customize it with a scent that you love… such as Relaxing Lavender, Uplifting Sweet Orange, or Floral Ylang Ylang and Jasmine essential oils.

Exciting news! We’re going to be popping up in North Vancouver on Wednesday July 1st Canada Day Celebration along with other local artists at Waterfront Park in North Vancouver (the park is located just a few steps west of Lonsdale Quay).

A Solid Shampoo Bar is both great for everyday and as a Travel Buddy!

I told you just over a month ago that I made a new Conditioning Shampoo Bar. Even though this recipe is from my wonderful soap making teacher, Rene Whitlock (http://www.soapmakingschool.com/),  and she told me it is one of her best sellers; I must admit, as will ALL natural products that I set out to create and then test, I have my reservations until I’ve tested it myself and others have used it.

After a month of daily use, I am here to report that it is actually a really awesome product and I plan to make more scents available for this Summer 2015! This bar really cleans the hair, it doesn’t leave a residue and it doesn’t require any additional conditioner*! I have had others test it and tell me the same! *As I note in the ‘how to use’ section of the Conditioning Shampoo bar, using additional conditioner will depend on why you use a hair conditioner. If it’s for dry hair or to increase shine, then this stuff works great. If it’s for very tangle prone hair, then you may still wish to use an additional conditioner.
